Stogi Beach has been one of the most popular leisure destinations in Gdańsk for years. It is a space used by residents of Stogi, Przeróbka and Krakowiec-Górki Zachodnie, as well as thousands of tourists visiting the city. That is why it is so important for it to be safe, accessible and welcoming to all users.

As part of its efforts to support the local community, Baltic Hub has this year funded the purchase of lifesaving equipment and infrastructure tailored to the specific needs of Stogi Beach and its users.

Greater safety by the water

One of the most important elements of the project is support for lifeguards, who ensure the safety of beachgoers every day. The equipment provided enables a faster response to emergencies and increases the effectiveness of rescue operations.

The equipment purchased included, amongst other things:

• three rescue towers,

• a jet ski with a rescue platform,

• a quad bike with a trailer,

• a motorboat,

• three rowing boats,

• four sea rescue kayaks,

• four rescue wetsuits.

This equipment supports the day-to-day work of lifeguards and helps ensure an even higher level of safety for holidaymakers by the sea.

Better conditions for active leisure

Stogi Beach is not only a place to relax, but also a space for sporting and recreational activities. That is why the project also included the development of infrastructure for residents and tourists.

New changing rooms and pitches for beach volleyball, handball and football have been installed on the beach. As a result, visitors to Stogi can enjoy even better conditions for spending time actively in the open air.

A beach accessible to everyone

Another key aspect of the project is improving the beach’s accessibility for people with disabilities and older people.

Baltic Hub has donated specialised wheelchairs and walkers fitted with wheels adapted for use on sand. This enables people with mobility difficulties to reach the shoreline more easily and comfortably enjoy the pleasures of a seaside holiday.

Baltic Hub’s long-term commitment

This year’s initiatives mark the next stage in Baltic Hub’s long-standing commitment to the development of Stogi Beach and the immediate surroundings of the terminal.

In 2025, the company donated a BeBot robot to the beach, which helps keep the area clean and removes litter from the sand. For years, Baltic Hub has also been organising a free Summer Cinema at Stogi, which has become a permanent fixture in the local community’s summer events calendar.

These initiatives are united by a common goal: to create a space that is safe, accessible and welcoming to all users.

Thanks to this year’s investments, Stogi Beach is gaining further improvements that enhance the comfort of visitors, support safety and ensure that even larger groups of residents and visitors to Gdańsk can enjoy this unique place.
