on 14th August the first vessel on the newly launched FAL 1 ocean service, which connects Busan in South Korea with Gdansk, has arrived at the Baltic Hub. The CMA CGM container ship Zheng He departed Busan in June. The Maltese-flagged vessel is 399 meters long and 54 meters wide.
FAL 1 is a new direct ocean service that connects Baltic Hub with Busan – the largest container port in South Korea and the 6th largest container port in the world. The launch of the new connection is the result of long-standing cooperation and successful negotiations between Baltic Hub and CMA CGM. The arrival of the next vessel, CMA CGM Concorde, is scheduled for September 12. Starting in October, vessels in the FAL1 service will be arriving to Gdansk on a weekly basis.

The FAL 1 service is operated by French shipowner CMA CGM, one of the largest container shipowners in the world. French Asia Line 1 (FAL1) is the fourth Ocean Alliance loop between the Far East and Northern Europe. CMA CGM operates this service with thirteen vessels with a total capacity of 17,859 to 23,112 TEU. FAL1 will be serving the following ports: Gdansk - Wilhelmshaven - Rotterdam - Algeciras - Port Klang - Busan - Ningbo - Shanghai - Yantian - Singapore - Tangier - Dunkirk - Le Havre and Hamburg.

Baltic Hub is a fast-growing logistics center with direct vessel calls from the Far East. The long-awaited connection to Busan will increase transportation capacity and strengthen the terminal's position on the global map of maritime trade. FAL1 will be the fourth Far Eastern loop for the Polish hub.
