New feature in VBS – location confirmation via QR code

From Tuesday 19 May 2026, we are introducing a new feature in the VBS app – location confirmation via QR code. This solution offers a convenient alternative to the existing ‘I’m here’ button.

How does the new feature work?

Special boards with QR codes have been placed at the terminal and at destination locations.

The process is simple:

1. The driver drives to the specified location

2. They stop at the relevant board with the QR code located at the entrance to that location.

3. In the app, they select the option to scan the code and point the camera at the QR code sign or enter the backup number visible on the sign if scanning is not possible.

This allows the system to unequivocally confirm that the vehicle is in the correct spot within the storage yard.

Why use the new feature?

We recommend using the new feature in situations where:

• the GPS signal is unavailable,

• the GPS location is inaccurate,

• there are difficulties confirming the position in the app.

Implementation stages

The feature is being rolled out gradually:

• initially, it covers blocks F01 and F02 at Terminal T2,

• in subsequent stages it will be extended to other blocks,

• and ultimately we plan to implement it at Terminal T3 as well.

We will provide updates on further roll-outs and the availability of the feature in our subsequent announcements.

This new functionality is another step towards streamlining terminal operations. We encourage you to use QR codes – particularly when GPS is not working properly.

1. What is this new feature?

It is a new way of confirming your location in the eBrama app using a QR code. This feature serves as an alternative to the ‘I’m here’ button.

2. Where can I find the QR code?

QR codes are located on signs placed at the entrance to the destination location in the storage area.

3. How do I confirm my location using a QR code?

• Drive to the correct spot according to the location you have received

• Stop at the board with the QR code.

• In the app, select the scan option and scan the code.

4. What should I do if I cannot scan the QR code?

You can manually enter the backup number shown on the sign and confirm your location in the app.

5. When should you use this feature?

Especially when:

• GPS is not working,

• the GPS signal is weak or inaccurate,

• the app is having trouble confirming your location.

6. Can I still use the “I’m here” button?

Yes, the QR feature is an additional option – you can use both methods to confirm your location.

7. Where is the feature already available?

Initially, the feature is available in blocks F01 and F02 at Terminal T2.

8. Will the feature be available at other locations?

Yes, we will be rolling it out gradually to further blocks, including Terminal T3. We will keep you updated on any changes.

9. What are the benefits of using QR codes?

• lower risk of errors in vehicle positioning.
