Work status January / February 2025:
The installation of all necessary Main Quay Wall furniture, including the completion of the STS rail system along the entire length of the quay wall, has been finalized. This task involved coordinating various elements to ensure they were properly aligned and securely installed for optimal functionality.
The installation of nearly all fenders and bollards has been completed, with additional work involving the setup of rescue equipment, navigation lights, and steel kerb elements. This ensures that the quay area is equipped with the necessary safety and operational features for both ships and pedestrians
The construction of CRMG beams is progressing, with work continuing in several specific areas designated for sectional completion. This involves precise work in multiple zones to ensure the beams are placed correctly and efficiently.
The work on constructing the foundations for container plinths and reefer racks is ongoing, with teams focusing on ensuring that all foundations are stable, level, and capable of supporting the structures required for container handling and refrigeration.
The contractor has made significant progress in the rail system installation by continuing to position rails, perform welding, drill necessary holes, and install chemical anchors to secure the rail mounting systems. Additionally, grouting work is being done to stabilize the system and ensure the tracks are firmly in place for operational use.
The demolition of the T1 wave wall has been completed along its entire length. This project involved careful dismantling of the existing structure, ensuring that the removal was done safely and efficiently to make way for new developments.
All construction works for Building 1, Building 2, Building 3, fire-fighting tanks, and buildings Y3 and Y4 have been completed. This marks the successful finalization of multiple key structures and systems, ensuring that the facilities are fully functional and ready for use.
