The main purpose of the project "Direction - Backyard 61" is to create additional space for free play for pupils of Elementary School No. 61 and the youngest residents of Przeróbka district, to promote healthy lifestyles among the school's youngest pupils and parents of the youngest residents of the district, to develop creativity in children and to support the mental and physical development of the youngest.

"Direction - Backyard 61" - expansion of the existing playground, addition of wooden elements for free play, mud kitchen and fabric sun canopy. As a result, a friendly space will be created, where each child will find "something for himself/herself", will be able to personally direct his/her activity and develop creativity in play.

The funds will allow to complete the implementation of the "Backyard 61″ project. In accordance with the concept of ‘free play’, in addition to the traditional playground, a natural playground of willow twigs has already been built and a ‘Gratozone’ has also been erected. As part of the "Direction - Backyard 61" project, the school will also organise a series of classes using the created ‘backyard’ space, dedicated to children aged 4-7 living in the Przeróbka district and our younger pupils. During sports and art classes, under the guidance of teachers-instructors, children will learn about an attractive place to play and establish new relationships with peers. The classes will end with a field game with prizes for children and parents.

The beneficiaries of the project will be pupils of Elementary School No. 61 in Gdańsk, including the kindergarten, younger classes and small residents of Przeróbka - children aged 4-7, who are not pupils of the school, but who also need a safe place where they can play freely under the watchful eye of their parents.
