On Sunday, August 31, Baltic Hub opened its doors for the third time to residents of neighborhoods adjacent to the terminal, organizing an outdoor event to mark the end of summer vacation. The square in front of the terminal was transformed into a place full of music, dance, and educational workshops in the spirit of traveling around the world. The launch of the next edition of the Busole grant program was also announced. This year, the attractions attracted approximately 1,500 participants.
Baltic Hub prepared a rich program of activities for the local community from Stogi, Przeróbka, and Krakowiec-Górki Zachodnie. Artists appeared on stage presenting exotic rhythms – from African drums to Brazilian samba. The program was complemented by contests with prizes and animations for children, which were extremely popular.
There were also educational zones related to safety, one of the key areas of CSR at our terminal. Visitors could take part in first aid workshops, see spectacular chemical experiments, and talk to paramedics and firefighters. The audience admired special shows, such as a spectacular evacuation drill. Tours of the terminal were also a unique attraction. They allowed participants to see up close what everyday work at the largest container terminal in the Baltic Sea looks like.
Baltic Hub's involvement in the local community is an integral part of the terminal's activities. Other examples of its activities include a summer outdoor cinema, the purchase of a BeBot robot for cleaning the beach, and the Busole grant competition, which funds projects that respond to the needs of residents in the surrounding neighborhoods. One of the main highlights of the event was the announcement of the fourth edition of Busole, which offers up to PLN 36,000 in funding for projects. This year, applications will be accepted until October 1, 2025.
