On 16 December, the 6th edition of the Angel Run - an initiative organised by the Iron Team Foundation - took place on the beach in Gdańsk Brzeźno. Funds collected during the event will be donated to the charges of Hospicjum Pomorze Dzieciom. Baltic Hub became a partner of this initiative for the second year in a row.
The Angel Run, an initiative of the Iron Team Foundation, is an annual event that attracts runners who want to support Hospicjum Pomorze Dzieciom. The foundation organises comprehensive medical care for children affected by terminal illness, while offering support to the whole family during difficult times.
This year's run started at 10 a.m. on the beach in Gdańsk Brzeźno at entrance no. 55. Participants raced along the beach, reaching the Jan Jerzy Haffner Brzeźno Park and back. Some of the runners - as every year - were dressed as angels. During the run, participants were musically warmed up on stage by djgucio.pl. At the gastro corner, participants were served hot drinks, tasty meals and sweet treats. All proceeds from the event were donated to Hospicjum Pomorze Dzieciom. One of the attractions was also a competition for the best dressed runners.
- We are very pleased that the Baltic Hub has once again become a partner of the Angel Run. It is an honour and a pleasure for us to be able to support such an important charity event. The fact that Hospice is our neighbour in Stogi makes this initiative particularly important to us. Together with the Iron Team Foundation, we want to contribute to ensuring that children and their families receive proper care and support in difficult times. We are therefore delighted to be involved in this beautiful gesture of solidarity," said Charles Baker, CEO of the Baltic Hub.
Also taking part in the run was Baltic Hub employee and representative Mariusz Gering, who opened the run as he did last year.
In addition to the traditional run, a virtual run is also underway until 31 December, in which people from anywhere in the world can take part, anyone who wishes to support Hospice Pomerania for Children. You can run, walk, cycle, scooter, swim or skate, ski or snowboard the required distance - a minimum of 2 km. Registration for the virtual run is available on the event organiser's website
