Batic Hub, the largest container terminal on the Baltic Sea, once again announces the grant competition , "Busole" for organisations operating in the neighbouring districts - Stogi, Przeróbka, Krakowski-Górki Zachodni or acting for the benefit of their residents. The idea behind the competition is to award the most inspiring and engaging projects, activating the local community, which are related to e.g. educational activities, local heritage, environmental protection or preventing the exclusion of specific social groups. A total of PLN 250,000 is up for grabs. The competition is funded entirely by the Baltic Hub.

This is the second edition of an initiative aimed simultaneously at the residents of the three districts directly adjacent to the terminal. The winners of the competition will be selected, as in the first edition, by a special chapter made up of representatives of several institutions, including the Baltic Hub. It will assess, among other things, the impact of the activities proposed in the applications on improving the functioning of the final beneficiaries of the project, the innovativeness and originality of the projects, as well as the applicants' experience in implementing projects of a similar theme.

The jury will select seven applications and to these applicants the Baltic Hub will propose the conclusion of grant agreements.

Not-for-profit organisations, but also schools, kindergartens and organisations dealing with health care in its broadest sense, the promotion of sport or the protection of the environment can apply for the 'Busola'. However, applicants may not include individuals, political parties, organisations established by or with the support of political parties, or organisations established to provide assistance to specific individuals. The entire budget of the competition is again a quarter of a million zlotys. An individual application should amount to a maximum of PLN 36 000.
