The purpose of the project entitled "Community self-help on Stogi Island - we create/enhance the material base of the Social Library" is to improve the conditions at the premises and the equipment for the implementation of the Association's statutory objectives, to purchase carpets and curtains for the concert hall / reading room, which will improve the acoustics and appearance, protect the premises from excessive sunlight / overheating, and to retrofit the premises by purchasing a camera, camera recorder, projector, screen, chairs and bookcases for the concert hall

A group of people, acting without official support, jointly created the Community Library in 2008 to repair and beautify the neighbourhood. From the very beginning the main objective of the Library was to educate young people and awaken active citizenship.

The Library started its activity in a devastated room, which was brought into proper working order thanks to the joint work of many dedicated people. Despite the great heart of social activists, it was necessary to raise funds in order to equip the Library. The ‘Busole’ project will allow to considerably improve the conditions of the Library premises, thus creating an even more friendly place for the residents of Stogi and the surrounding districts.

The beneficiaries of the project will be residents of Stogi district and the surrounding area, in particular children, young Tri-City musicians, local immigrants, youth studying at secondary schools and universities, local senior citizens and bibliophiles.
