Purpose
During the implementation of the "Active in Our District with DCT" project, beneficiaries will learn the macramé technique by making ornaments and everyday objects. Children will make their own glycerin soaps and eco-friendly advent calendars. Children will be introduced to a new form of exercise, Animal Flow; for adults there will be meetings during which they will learn techniques for relieving stress.
Description
The project will be implemented in the two periods: from April to June and from September to November.
Three workshops will be held during the first period, including two workshops dedicated to children held in April and May and one workshop dedicated to adults held in June.
During the first workshop of the series "Let's weave together", children will make a hanging pot cover using the macramé technique.
Another workshop, "Homemade Soap Shop" will be devoted to making colourful, fragrant glycerin soaps.
The last workshop, held in June, called "Breathe a sigh of relief" will introduce adults to methods of combating stress. The same workshop will also be held in September.
The autumn edition will feature workshops for children. During the next classes of the series "Let's weave together", participants will make a wall decoration, the so-called ‘dream catcher’, with the use of the macramé technique. And in November, during the "Ready for Christmas" meeting, children will make their own eco-friendly advent calendars.
