Dear Partners,
Baltic Hub Container Terminal is currently operating under severely constrained conditions as a direct result of persistent adverse weather, including prolonged low temperatures and ongoing snowfall. These conditions have significantly impacted equipment performance, reduced yard productivity, and limited the terminal’s ability to evacuate containers by road and rail. While multiple weather factors contribute to the current situation, and with further severe weather forecast potentially exacerbating the current situation, immediate and decisive measures are required to safeguard terminal operability and ensure continuity of service for all customers.
As part of these temporary measures, and effective from 07:00 Hrs Monday 26th January until further notice, Baltic Hub will reduce the Begin Receive Date from 7 days to 5 days prior to vessel ETA. The start date for Export receivals for vessels will be communicated via our website and TOS as per current practice.
Early export over-ride service is suspended until further notice.
With regard to rail operations, in light of the current circumstances, we would also like to inform you that Baltic Hub is implementing a capacity limitation for rail operations of 8,000 moves per week until further notice. This measure is necessary to stabilize terminal performance and ensure continuity of key processes under the prevailing conditions.
Rail operators and customers are requested to align their planning accordingly, as the ability to accommodate additional volumes outside the defined capacity will remain limited for the duration of these measures.
These measures are temporary but essential to relieve yard congestion, maintain safe operations, and stabilize overall terminal performance during the ongoing weather-related disruption.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding during this challenging period. Further updates will be communicated as the situation evolves.
