Reloading operations slots regulations
2026-02-12

Dear All,

Baltic Hub Container Terminal informs that in week 8_26, 9000 move limit is still active. Therefore, all fixed railway windows are still being restored, with the obligation for  train operators to reduce operations on a single train by 10%.

Alternatively, it is possible to cancel, corresponding with 10% volume cut, number of windows by the operator himself. The BHCT Rail Team will provide you with information about the limit volume that is available for you week 8. BHCT will strictly monitor this allocation numbers.

Please specify the solution adopted by you by 1:00 p.m . today, along with the correction of the plan presented earlier.

In communication, we will remind you of the number of movements that are assigned to individual windows.

Due to weather conditions, the allocation of additional windows is suspended until Monday, February 16. We will return to you with suggestions for additional windows on that day, until 1:00 p.m.

At the same time, we would like to inform you that a train that does not have the necessary data on the export operation in the system for 8 hours before the scheduled service window will be treated as an unloaded or unstarted, with no chance of arriving at BHCT on time.

Therefore, the given service window will be canceled with the necessity:

  • move to the next available maintenance window, or

  • determining the possibility of designating a new maintenance window for the operations in question.

We would also like to remind you that due to unstable weather, the operation of the terminal may take place in conditions of limited capacity, and in order to ensure safe and stable operations, it may be necessary to reduce operational capacity, including the cancellation of some road or rail slots.

In case of train delays exceeding 48 hours, Baltic Hub, in consultation with the operator of a given train, will cancel the window or postpone to other dates in the following week.

The situation will be monitored on an ongoing basis and we will keep you informed of any changes.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
