Railway operations - update

Dear Sir or Madam,

Baltic Hub Container Terminal informs you that in week 7 the limit of rail operations will be increased to 9,000 moves. As a result, all regular rail slots will be reinstated on the condition that train operators reduce the number of operations per individual train by 10%. Alternatively, this may be compensated for by cancelling a similar number of slots directly by the operator. In our communication, we will remind you of the number of moves assigned to each slot.

At the same time, we inform you that any train which, eight hours before the scheduled service window, does not have in the system the required data regarding export operations will be treated as a train not loaded or not dispatched, with no possibility of arriving at BHCT on time.

Consequently, the given service window will be cancelled, requiring either:

  • relocation to the next available service window, or

  • determining the possibility of assigning a new service window for the respective operations.

We also remind you that due to unstable weather conditions, terminal operations may be carried out under reduced capacity, and in order to ensure safe and stable operations it may become necessary to reduce operational capabilities, including cancelling certain road or rail slots.

The situation will be continuously monitored, and we will keep you informed of any changes.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
