New transatlantic connection from Gdansk
2025-09-14

Baltic Hub reports that the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) is launching a new transatlantic service from Gdansk.

MSC is significantly strengthening its shipping network – the Albatros service is being expanded to include direct connections to the east coast of the US, covering the ports of New York and Charleston.

Thanks to the new connection, Baltic Hub in Gdansk gains a weekly direct transatlantic connection, which significantly improves the flow of goods between Poland and the United States. MSC customers can count on the efficient integration of maritime transport with inland logistics, which translates into faster and more effective supply chain execution.

The first ship under the expanded service, MSC BERANGERE, will depart from Gdansk on August 14, 2025. The new rotation includes the following ports:

📍 Gdańsk

📍 Bremerhaven

📍 New York

📍 Charleston

This strategic move by MSC not only strengthens Gdansk's position as a key hub in the Baltic region, but also opens up new opportunities for exporters and importers operating in the transatlantic market.
