In September, dredging works were mainly concentrated in the area of the future T3 quay basin.
A new vessel, the Lingestrom, was engaged to level the seabed in the T3 basin, at the mooring quay and approach channel.
Deliveries of sand from both shore and marine sources have been completed.
Work on the north wall of quay T3 related to overload embankments is underway. The Contractor has completed forming the embankments behind the wall and the platform has been consolidated. At the end of September, the Contractor started to remove material in order to release the work front for the next stages of work such as the reinforced concrete work on the north wall caps.
The main quay of the T3 terminal has been completely backfilled and 650 linear meters of wall vibro compacted. Soil reinforcement on the remaining extent of the main quay by vibroflotation is ongoing.
