Growing Importance of Polish Ports for Slovak Business. Baltic Hub Strengthens Its Presence in the Region
Dynamic changes in Central European supply chains are increasing the significance of Polish seaports as key players in international trade. Slovak companies are showing growing interest in the opportunities offered by Gdańsk and Baltic Hub – the largest container terminal in the Baltic Sea region.
One of the events confirming this trend was the conference “Ports of Poland – a gateway to the world for Slovak companies”, held on 26 March in Bratislava. The meeting was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Bratislava with media support from Hospodárske noviny and brought together around 100 representatives of Slovak business, including exporters, importers, and logistics operators.
Baltic Hub as a Partner of the Event
As a partner of the conference, Baltic Hub presented its service offering and development plans addressing the growing needs of the Central European market. Adela Kureckova, representing the terminal, took part in the panel “Maritime transport: port operators, shipowners”, where she highlighted the key advantages of the Gdańsk container terminal.
During her presentation, she discussed:
the strategic location of Baltic Hub, enabling efficient connections between Slovakia and global shipping routes,
infrastructure investments enhancing the terminal’s capacity and operational efficiency,
concrete benefits for Slovak exporters and importers resulting from choosing Gdańsk as their gateway to global markets.
A Platform for Dialogue and Cooperation
The programme included expert panels, presentations by companies serving Slovak clients, and an extensive networking segment combined with B2B meetings. As a result, the conference became a space for meaningful dialogue between the Polish logistics sector and Slovak businesses, supporting relationship-building, knowledge exchange, and the identification of new cooperation opportunities.
Strengthening Baltic Hub’s Position in Central Europe
Baltic Hub continues to expand its presence in the region and develops solutions tailored to the needs of clients from Central and Eastern Europe. Cooperation with Slovak partners, driven by growing trade volumes and the development of transport infrastructure, remains one of the most promising strategic directions.
Participation in events such as the conference in Bratislava highlights Baltic Hub’s role as an active contributor to shaping modern logistics routes and a reliable partner for international business.
