Project title
Baltic Hub Container Terminal Sp. z o.o., as part of call for proposals No. FENX.05.06-IP.02-001/24, European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, and Environment Program 2021-2027, received a grant from the European Union for the implementation of the project “Electrification and Modernization of the Intermodal Terminal in Gdańsk.”
Scope of the project
The project involves the implementation of 11 tasks in three main components:
infrastructure,
purchasing,
telematics.
Target groups
The benefits of the project will be enjoyed by entrepreneurs operating within the core TEN-T network, which includes the Baltic Hub Container Terminal Sp. z o.o.
Key users include:
shipping lines,
logistics and freight forwarding operators,
rail carriers,
transport and logistics companies.
The choice of this target group is fully justified by the location and role of Baltic Hub Container Terminal Sp. z o.o. as the largest deep-water container terminal in Central and Eastern Europe, constituting an important hub in international supply chains.
Project objectives
The project responds to the current needs of terminal users, in particular:
increasing operational capacity,
improving the efficiency of logistics processes,
developing railway infrastructure,
implementing modern monitoring systems.
Project Effects
As a result of the Project, the target group will gain:
better access to modern intermodal infrastructure,
increased operational and time efficiency,
the opportunity to develop its activities on foreign markets,
support in achieving environmental and climate goals.
