From the beginning of August 2009 Mr Jedrzej Mierzewski was appointed the Chief Operations Officer (COO). In addition to overseeing the Operations Department, the new COO will also manage the operational IT Department.
Mr Mierzewski brings to DCT Gdansk extensive experience from previous roles in container and general cargo terminals abroad, namely Malaysia, Egypt, Bahrain and Ukraine, where he was responsible for the entire operations.In line with this change Mr Michael Pearce, the current CIO (Chief Information Officer) who previously oversaw the overall IT function, will now focus on extending DCT’s electronic trading strategy.
This will allow DCT to provide its clients with greater value through tailoring and delivering IT solutions which align with the client’s business needs.
